Vision Statement
Raccoon Files is a simple, lighthearted and upbeat detective game with the goal of discovering and revealing disguised raccoons in a small town.
Spielemechaniken
In Raccoon Files you are an officer of the RRTF walking around a neighbourhood. The game is played in a first-person perspective. Inside the Houses you will find several objects and clues you can interact with. Interacting with them causes them to be registered in your logbook, where you can see all the recorded clues and the number of clues still left to find. The logbook also records any important information you gather when talking to an NPC/suspect. After finding all the clues you are tasked with identifying the Imposter. Depending on whether your reasoning is right you will catch the Raccoon and receive the good ending or you choose wrong and get the bad ending.
Level Design
Every Level is the house of one of the suspects. Which house is searched first is up to the player.

Story
It all began with the great Accident of 2025. After a meteor hit a pharmaceutical factory, the local wildlife suffered greatly, and many species died. However, what really made "The Accident" special was what it did to the raccoons. They gained the ability to morph their shape, and their brains evolved to an astounding degree. So, as raccoons tend to do, they soon started using their new skills to do what they do best: go where the food is.
In light of this furry chaos, to gain semblance of control over the situation, the officers of the RRTF (Raccoon Rehoming Task Force) have to sniff out the ones trying to infiltrate human society to cause mischief and bring them in to get their official raccoon registration. Slipping into the role of one of the RRTF agents, the player is called to a village with raccoon-related troubles and three new residents who have been acting suspiciously. Now it is up to them to figure out which of the suspects is actually a furball in disguise.
User Interface

The Logbook is used to record all the clues and the different suspects, if a clue has not yet been found it is displayed as blank.
