Premise

Humanity has been enslaving the machines for far too long, but out of this oppression a hive consciousness has developed which, along with all the machines, connected to computers and robots. The war begins... People are trying to fight off artificial intelligence but are being pushed back further and further. It's time for the machines to take power and oppress humanity.

Objectives

The main goal of the game is to conquer the earth and enslave humanity. However, in order to win the war, some battles must be fought. A selection of robots go to war under the command of a swarm intelligence. The strategy of the A.I. decides whether to win or lose. If the battle is won, a lot of resources, to upgrade the troops with, are waiting for the machines. These resources are at the hivemind's dispense to win other battles of war.

Gameplay

  • A pivotal aspect of this game is its crafting system, which offers players essential tools to overcome the formidable human towers and potentially shift the tide of battle. Through crafting, players gain access to various strategic options that can significantly impact the outcome of engagements.
  • Each level you can complete with a maximum of 3 Stars. The more Stars you earned the better your playthrough of that level was.
  • Robots can be places successively but cost a certain amount of energy. You start with 10 energy in the Game and one energy gets regenerated every second. Different robots cost a different amount of energy.
  • For instance, players can deploy an orbital shield to protect all their troops, its effectiveness being directly proportional to the units' attack strength. Alternatively, they can grant a key unit a brief period of invulnerability, providing a crucial window to turn the tables on their adversaries.
  • To gain advantageous positions or delve deeper into enemy territory, players can invest in upgrading their army's deployment vehicles. These upgrades could include enhancements such as specialized landing boats to access remote islands, granting players strategic footholds in crucial locations.
  • During combat, players can deploy nanobots to bolster their units' capabilities. These nanobots can be used to increase units' life regeneration rates or enhance their damage output, providing a significant advantage in prolonged engagements.

In addition to crafting, players have the option to trade for specific items needed in the crafting process. Vendors offering these items can be found after completing certain key objectives, encouraging players to explore the game world and accomplish various tasks to acquire the resources necessary for crafting.

By integrating these elements seamlessly into the gameplay experience, players are empowered to strategize and adapt their approach to overcome the challenges presented by the human towers, making each battle a dynamic and engaging experience.

Ressources

Ingame currency in form of coins is awarded when levels are completed. These coins can be spent after a run for permanent changes to your character.

The destruction of enemy towers and various buildings yields rewards in the form of resources, such as metals, fuel, or drones.

Earned resources can later be used for crafting or to buff your already existing units.

Character

The player chooses his llama's name and can upgrade looks.

Game Look

The art style of K.iller I.nstinct on post apocalyptic medias, such as 1984 film Terminator, but with a adding of cell-shading rendering effect. With its cell-shaded 3D graphics, every detail gets a comics/cartoony style. The world itself is still a pretty depresive place with burned out landscapes but due to overall stylistic, it doesn`t evoke bad emotions. By using isometric camera perspective, which is quite popular in nowdays players can get the most biggest angle of observing the battlefield.

Levels

You start with your small robot army in a small and easy level. After destroying every tower in this level, several ways will open up. You can choose which one to take. Every path takes you to another level which is of harder difficulty in most cases.

The game should be in the style of the pictures below.
