Dies ist ein Playtest-Report des Teams Pointless für das Fach Game Design Fundamentals.

Playtest-Details

Spiel: Roguebot (geben Sie das Spiel an, das getestet wurde. Wenn es bereits (von einer anderen Gruppe) analysiert wurde, auf die Seite verlinken)

Playtester: FEmily, Roots & Pixels (geben Sie hier an, aus welchem Team/welchen Teams die Playtester stammen)

Interview

Was hat den Spieler*innen gefallen?

Die Spieler fanden die verschieden Gegner und PowerUps sehr spannend. Weiters fanden sie das nötige Skill Level für das Spiel passend. Vor allem die Grafik und das GUI konnten im Playtest überzeugen. Die Waffenupgrades und Leveldesign wurden ebenfalls bewundert.

Was hat den Spieler*innen nicht gefallen?

Nach längerem Spielen wurde das Spiel als sehr eintönig und wiederholend aufgefasst. Auch der kleine explosive Gegner kam den Spielern zu stark vor. Es ist etwas zu schwierig und Steuerung nicht von Anfang an klar (mit Controller). Die Tastenbelegung ist etwas ungewohnt.

Vorschläge für Verbesserungen

Vorgeschlagen wurde mehr Gegner und PowerUps hinzuzufügen um das Spiel abwechslungsreicher zu gestalten. Dabei auch PowerUps + Gegner besser balancen. Eine bessere Controllerunterstützung und Tipps zu Steuerung zu Beginn des Spiels wurden ebenfalls vorgeschlagen. Außerdem fanden die Playtester, dass das Spiel etwas zu schwierig war. Dies könnte man regeln, indem man die Schwierigkeit etwas runterschraubt, oder man schneller Leben regeneriert oder es generell nicht so schnell verliert.
