Vision Statement

In Divine Meltdown, the player embarks on a transformative journey that embodies the essence of how even the darkest depths can shine with radiant splendor and glory. Power gained through battle will allow the player to work their way from the bottom to the top and resurrect or take the place of the supreme god using artifacts collected along the journey.

Play Mechanics

The main mechanics of the game are, on the one hand, solving puzzles, which can be divided into different difficulty categories so as not to lose the player's attention; and, on the other hand, light powers, which can be used to stun the end boss of this chapter. The player wanders through the game with these two main components to get to know the player and the story of the game.

Level Design

Divine Meltdown is an immersive open-world game that takes players to a divine world filled with floating islands. Players can explore the world, collect four artifacts, and create their own adventures. Various creatures are at their side, from friendly companions to challenging enemies.

The individual levels are puzzle games in which players must solve difficult puzzles and complete boss tasks in different sections. Each chapter has 2-3 unique puzzles that challenge the player. A life limit increases the pressure in the final puzzles. To avoid damage and defeat the boss in time, players must act cleverly and quickly, as their lives are limited. A captivating story and the variety of puzzles ensure long-lasting fun for players of all ages.

Story

Our female protagonist, Aya, worried about the disappearance of the oldest god, strives to unravel the truth and find him again. Odin, a petite little lion, acts as her loyal companion and messenger of the goddess. Although Aya is one of the lesser gods, she has abilities such as the creation of light that help her solve puzzles. By solving several puzzles and gathering information about the disappearance of the oldest god, she hopes to offer help. But as she collects artifacts to enhance her powers, more powerful gods stand in her way and must defeat them.
