Core Idea
In "A Very Furry Morning", the player takes up the role of a furry that needs to get ready for their high-paying IT job. Unfortunately, because they are a furry, they have cumbersome paws, along as additional body parts on higher difficulties, getting ready for the day proves to be a challenge. With tootbrushes slipping through your paws and your tail flinging your clothes across the room, this VR-game will be a challenge for many.
Unique Selling Proposition
Ragdoll physics that will make the player chuckle alongside the generally cute aesthetic of a fursuit will certainly intrigue many looking into playing the game.
Target Audience
Furries as a whole will certainly be intruiged by this game. Outside of that community, those enjoying unpredictable and humorous physics alongside a challenge would also enjoy "A Very Furry Morning" for sure.
Premise
Complete your task-based morning routine (brushing your teeth, getting dressed, etc.), while being hindered by furry anatomy within a specific time frame so you don't get fired.
Game Mechanics
Objectives
You're employed and need to get out of your apartment despite your paws making it difficult. The faster you get out, the better, but if the time runs out you end up getting fired. Additionally, players can get achievements which unlock new color palettes for their fursona.
Procedures
As the player character gets out of bed, they are given a task list of what needs to be done. In terms of abilities, they are able to grab things (although poorly) and move them around, as well as walk around the apartment. An involuntary ability is knocking things over with the tail/wings/horns/etc.
Character
The character is an anthropromorphic animal with mostly mammalian features (dog/wolf). Achievements unlock different color palettes, from natural browns to eye-straining neons.
Higher difficulties add more body parts:
Normal: You are a regular canine/feline with large paws and a tail.
Complexity Fee: You have a special OC with paws, tail and horns that impale things and bang against stuff.
Legendary: You have the most unique fursona with paws, long tail, horns and wings. You will suffer the consequences for your desire to be unique.
The character's motivation in this game is to get to work on time and not get fired, overcoming all the hurdles thrown at them.
Basic Resources
Time is the only necessary resource in this game, forcing you to act quickly and efficiently. Collectibles are optional resources that allow you to unlock various fur colorations.
Conflict
The game is a race against the clock, trying to make it on time for your job. In more abstract terms the player's employer or their own tardiness can be seen as an opposing force.
Game Look
The game is a first person 3D VR game with a simple, somewhat cartoony look to compliment the silly physics one may experience during gameplay.
